namun diluar itu semua band-band tadi sependapat dalam satu hal bahwa Grunge bukanlah gaya hidup yang mereka anut walaupun mereka memainkan musik Grunge, tetapi lebih pada unsur bahwa Grunge is Soul yang mencerminkan tentang kejiwaan yang redup, bercerita tentang sisi lain dari dunia yang orang lain menganggapnya sinting dan lebih pada sifat koreksi pada diri sendiri. Di Amerika sendiri kaum Grunge berbaur dalam kehidupannya sehari-hari dengan kaum Punk dan ketika ditanya kenapa nggak sekalian masuk ke musik Punk? Mereka menjawab bahwa itu adalah masalah selera, tidak semua orang menyukai hamburger, ada juga yang suka steak atau hot dog.
saya sendiri secara pribadi tidak terlalu mempermasalahkan hal ini karena meski Kurt Cobain sendiri sebagai icon Grunge tidak mengakui sebagai musisi grunge tetapi saya yakin bahwa dialah sebenarnya pencetus istilah musik grunge itu sendiri. dan sebagai bentuk kecintaan saya kepada grunge saya mendirikan grup di salah satu situs pertemanan.

For listeners who are purchasing this album simply to hear their new previously unreleased songs "Can't Repeat" and "Next to You", they may be slightly disappointed. The songs are relatively simplistic with "Next to You" being a cover of a song by The Police. Although the new material is not anything special, the songs included on this are pretty much everything you could want from The Offspring prior to 2005 if you are a casual fan of this band.
Expect their most popular and played songs on the radio such as "Gone Away," "Come Out and Play," and "The Kids Aren't Alright" to be on this CD in high quality so you will get a great listening experience.
This album is highly recommended for those who like punk bands such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Stone Temple Pilots. Their sound is a bit more Popish than Nirvana and more along the lines of certain Stone Temple Pilots songs. Because this album is comprised mostly of radio hits, it also contains much of The Offspring's pop song writing side and thus is a very good comparison to Thank You by Stone Temple Pilots. So if you liked this album, it is recommended that you pick up this one and vise versa.

Agence France-Presse March 10, 2011 Mike Starr, the original bassist with 1990s U.S. grunge-tinged rock band Alice in Chains, was found dead Tuesday in Utah, police said. He was 44.
Starr's body was found in a Salt Lake City residence, a police spokesman said, while the TMZ celebrity website quoted his father as saying: "It's a terrible shock and tragedy."

An autopsy including toxicology tests will be carried out, said Salt Lake City police spokesman Shawn Josephson, who could not elaborate on the circumstances of the death.
The musician was arrested last month for possession of a controlled substance, TMZ reported, adding that police found painkillers and another drug in his possession at that time.

Alice in Chains emerged in Seattle in the 1990s around the same time as bands including Nirvana and Pearl Jam, although they were inactive for long periods.
Starr left the band in the 1990s, and lead singer Layne Staley, who suffered from drug addiction, died in 2002.

Tributes were posted on Starr's website, www.wix.com/mike starr/mike-starr, after his death was reported. "Your music guided me through a very important time in my life. God Speed and RIP!!" said Tanker 43.
