By now you've likely heard that the Foo 
Fighter's recorded their upcoming new album 'Wasting Light' in a 
garage.  The band appears to be keeping the old school theme for the 
video for their new single 'Rope,' recording it entirely on VHS.
In the video, the five-piece is situated 
within a cube-like white room, facing inward in a loose circle. The clip
 later gets a little crazier with flashing orange lights against the 
dark silhouettes of the band members during a particularly shre<a

 border='0' alt=''></a>dding guitar solo.  The video 
recalls the era of early music videos, when it was more about the music 
and performance than special effects and spruced-up visuals. And the 
song itself isn't doing so bad, either -- "Rope" spends its second week 
atop Billboard's Rock Songs chart this week, and also slots in at No. 2 
on the Alternative Songs chart, No. 6 on the Active Rock chart and at 
No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100.
